What Are Retractable Screens?
A retractable screen serves the same purpose as any fixed screen. It keeps insects and pests out while allowing fresh air in. The advantage is what happens when you do not need it.
When not in use, a retractable screen rolls or slides back into a slim, discreet housing mounted on the window or door frame. It moves easily, silently, and smoothly. Your view stays clear and the mesh is protected from sun exposure and dust. This extends the life of the screen.
Our retractable screens also protect against harmful UV rays. The mesh filters UV while maintaining clear visibility. Even with the screen fully extended, you will barely notice it is there.
No-Slam Speed-Reducing Technology
“NO SLAM” speed-reducing technology is built into every retractable screen we produce. This controls the closing speed so the screen returns gently to its housing rather than snapping shut.
For homes with children and pets, this is important. A screen that slams back at speed risks injury and damages the mesh over time. Our slow-close mechanism protects both people and the product.

Types of Retractable Screens
We produce two retractable screen styles. The right choice depends on the shape of your opening.
Horizontal Retractable Screens
Horizontal screens slide side to side along a top and bottom track. They suit openings where the width is greater than the height. This style is commonly used on fold-up windows, gas strut windows, and folding windows. The screen can open from one side or split from the center, depending on the opening width and configuration.
Horizontal screens are also a natural fit for aluminium bifold doors, French doors, and sliding doors. If you are unsure which opening direction suits your project, contact us with your dimensions.
Vertical Retractable Screens
Vertical screens roll downward from a housing at the top of the frame and retract back upward when not in use. They suit openings where the height is greater than the width. Awning windows, casement windows, double hung windows, single hung windows, and tilt-and-turn windows are the natural fit for this style.
The spring mechanism allows smooth, one-handed operation. The housing mounts flush to the frame.
